We offer you 5 different options for you to return the empty bottles:
1. Give empties back to the rider delivering your new order.
2. Order a pick-up of your empties – these pick-ups will be scheduled when our rider is next in your area and are free of charge.
3. You can also pop them in the post. Please note: this option is at your own cost/risk. Make sure you wrap the bottles securely to avoid damage.
Please include a note with your name or customer ID (to be found in your account, or any order confirmation emails).
4. If you bought your bottle in-store from one of our retail partners, you can also return it back to the store you purchased from.
When shopping with This is Circular, you get charged a fully refundable Bottle Deposit for the product packaging, depending on the type of the container – €3 deposit for 500ml aluminium bottle, €1.50 deposit for 100ml travel size aluminium bottle.
When you place your first order, deposits will be taken from your card. As soon as you return our containers, these deposits will be moved to your account followed by an email confirmation. This balance will automatically be reused for deposits for your next order, detailed in your checkout summary.
If you would like to stop using This Is Circular service, we will credit your deposits to your bank account. Please reach out to us via email@example.com to close your account and get a full refund of your deposits.
There is no deposit on Beauty Kitchen products, please give the bottles back with the rest of your empties and they will be returned to Beauty Kitchen.
We ask you to pay a small fee towards the rental of the tote bags and the cleaning and sanitising of the bottles. This is entirely optional, however we will value your choice to contribute and help us run our business. The Circularity fee is dependent on the size of your order, the more bottles you order, the more bottles we have to clean:
€0.50 for orders under €25
€0.75 for orders between €25 and €50
€1.00 for orders over €50
As our main idea is to provide sustainable packaging, the deposit is fully refundable and serves us only as a guarantee that we will receive our bottles back for refills. If you decide to keep the bottle, we kindly ask you to enjoy it and not dispose of it in the trash. The Circularity Fee is an optional and non-refundable contribution towards our plastic-free delivery packaging as well as the cleaning & sanitization of the bottles.
Our mission is to provide sustainable, circular packaging. Hence we aim to safely reuse one container as many times as possible and prolong its ‘product life cycle’ before it ends up in recycling. Reusing containers reduces the material footprint significantly. We appreciate your understanding that these little imperfections are stepping stones to a more sustainable life. As soon as the bottle becomes unreasonably dented, we’ll take it out of the circulation and send it for recycling. We pack and ship your order as soon as we receive it. Since there is a very quick turnaround to deliver your orders, we are unable to accommodate any changes or modifications after placing an order and you have received your order confirmation.
Please be sure to review your shipping address under Account Information in the checkout phase before placing your order.
Once you receive your order confirmation per email, you know that we received and processed your order. We will fill the bottles and pack them for shipping, so they can be delivered on the day and the time you chose upon check-out.
We work with our own delivery team and deliver currently every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Our drivers will be in touch with you on the day itself to confirm the exact time of your delivery.

As long as you return our bottles in a reasonable condition you’ll receive your deposit back. Before refilling we quality-check our containers and decide whether they are still good to go!
Although we’re in constant touch with our suppliers and strive for perfect service, sometimes a pump or a spray head can break as it reaches the end of its life cycle. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll arrange a new one to be shipped to you straight away. We’re committed to reducing plastic in circulation, so please return the broken pump or spray head with your empties, instead of throwing it away. We’ll make sure it’s disposed of in a responsible way!
